(LVDE) – This gift, aimed at ensuring a brighter future for students in Foumban, was handed over to beneficiaries on September 30, 2025, by the Managing Director of BGFIBank Cameroon, Abakal Mahamat, reaffirming the BGFIBank Foundation’s commitment to youth and education.
On September 30, 2025, a festive atmosphere filled the Njinka School Complex, located behind the Sultan’s Palace, seat of the Bamoun Kingdom. The BGFIBank Foundation celebrated the handover of a donation set to transform the school’s learning environment. This initiative, carried out under the foundation’s corporate social responsibility program, reflects its strong commitment to providing young people with quality education.
The event was attended by local dignitaries, including the Second Deputy Prefect representing the Prefect of Noun Division, as well as His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Nabil Mfofifoum Mbombo Njoya. The Sultan expressed gratitude to the BGFIBank Foundation for this meaningful contribution, stating: “A gesture that reflects generosity and a concern for a better future for our children.”
The handover ceremony was an opportunity to unveil the various actions carried out as part of this project. The Njinka School Group will benefit from a new water tower, an essential infrastructure to ensure access to drinking water, as well as two classrooms dedicated to kindergarten, allowing a greater number of pupils to be accommodated under proper conditions.

Rehabilitation of existing facilities was another key priority. Previously dilapidated buildings were renovated to provide a conducive learning environment. The restrooms, which had fallen into disrepair, were fully rehabilitated to guarantee the hygiene necessary for young pupils.
In addition, the foundation provided a significant donation of school furniture, including 140 desks for primary pupils, 60 tables and stools for kindergarten, as well as desks and chairs for teachers and administrators. Ernest Mouiche, headmaster of Njinka School Complex, expressed his satisfaction: “Our equipment was in very poor condition. Thanks to this initiative, our institution has been given a new lease on life.”
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the BGFIBank Foundation, which has been working for over a decade to improve education in Cameroon. Beyond Foumban, the foundation has carried out numerous projects such as rehabilitating public schools, equipping universities with modern tools, and supporting vocational training. Recent initiatives include modernizing the language laboratory at St. Jerome University in Douala and equipping the multimedia center of the Bilingual High School of Kribi.

The results speak for themselves: since its creation, the BGFIBank Foundation has invested millions in educational projects across the country, impacting thousands of students. Through these initiatives, it not only seeks to expand access to education but also to prepare younger generations to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Foumban is just one step in the journey of the BGFIBank Foundation. As it continues its work throughout the country, it hopes to leave a lasting, positive legacy. “Every action counts, and we remain determined to make a difference,” stated the Managing Director of BGFIBank Cameroon.
