(LVDE) — At the 15th edition of the Customs Department’s Partners’ Evening, TRADEX SA stood out by receiving two major distinctions from the Ministry of Finance. This official recognition highlights the company’s strategic role in mobilizing public revenue and its civic commitment in support of Cameroon’s economy.
On February 20, 2026, in Douala, the Cameroon Customs Department honored its most outstanding partners during a ceremony that has become a key institutional meeting point between the tax administration and the private sector. At the heart of this 15th edition, TRADEX SA made a strong impression by being awarded the Special Citizenship Prize as well as the Special Award for Top Taxpayer 2025, ranking 4th nationally.
These distinctions, granted by the Ministry of Finance, commend the company’s remarkable contribution to customs revenue. According to figures published by the Customs Department, revenue collections surpassed 1,000 billion CFA francs in 2025, confirming the decisive role of major taxpayers in maintaining the country’s budgetary stability. In a context marked by the diversification of domestic resources and the modernization of procedures, the performance of structured companies represents a crucial lever for supporting public policies.
As a leading player in the distribution of petroleum and gas products, TRADEX SA stands out for the consistency of its declarations, the compliance of its operations, and the transparency of its practices. This rigor directly contributes to strengthening the national supply chain and securing trade flows. Through the Special Citizenship Prize, the customs administration also recognized the company’s social initiatives, particularly in the areas of local employment, training, and community development.
The Partners’ Evening aims to promote a culture of tax compliance and to strengthen public-private collaboration. According to the Ministry of Finance’s strategic guidelines, broadening the tax base and improving the business climate are among Cameroon’s key priorities by 2030. In this dynamic, exemplary companies play a driving role in fostering growth, value creation, and national competitiveness.
By receiving these two awards, TRADEX SA consolidates its position as one of the pillars of Cameroon’s economic fabric. Beyond the figures, this institutional recognition reflects the shared determination of public authorities and the private sector to build a more resilient economy grounded in responsibility, performance, and contribution to the common good.
